An app/website that users can use to keep track of their yearly goals, plus keep up with their daily routine from workouts, recipes, budgeting, and more. Users can also create templates for others and communicate with friends and family using the app.
My team and I created a prototype website/app as the course project for Interaction Design l. Everyone in the class had to develop their idea for an app, and I was one of the lucky six to get picked. My idea was to have an app that could keep track of a user's life all in one. For this project, we also had to go their an in-depth process, including a research phase, modeling phase, research report, and framework.

1. Brainstorm
For the brainstorming portion, we came up with a context scenario, vision statement (which is: How can I pack my life into one app?), persona expectations, and key path scenarios.
2. Research Phase
One of the main components of the Design process is the research phase. During the research phase, we finished a kickoff meeting, literature review, competitive audit, and user interviews. After that, we created a research report based on all of our studies. The goal of the research phase is to support us as designers in learning as much as we can about subjects related to the app.
3. Modeling Phase
We moved on to the modeling phase once our study was complete. We developed our user personas and determine our users' end-to-life goals. Personas are the fictional characters we create based on the intel of the user and our research. The development of a persona is crucial since it improves our understanding of the target audience.
3. Framework
We began working on the Frameworks which included the wireframing, prototyping, doing usability tests, and fine-tuning our prototype.
3. Refinement
All that remained to be done after our usability testing was to polish our prototype. We modified our prototype based on the feedback from our usability testers. We made a few minor adjustments as we tested the prototype several times along the way.
Overall, it was enjoyable to build this app. Each step of the process, including the research, modeling, requirements, and frame-building, had a great hands-on experience for me. I had an excellent time developing the app and trying to learn as much as I could.
If I could go back and modify certain things about my project, I would like to:
*My team and I should communicate more often
*Divide workload accordingly
I learned a lot about the design process and what interface design is actually all about when it is user-centered while developing the prototype for this app.
